Y ha llegado el dia, por cuarto año consecutivo se celebra el Blog Day en su edicion 2008. Una iniciativa para promover los blogs de nuestra preferencia, con la particularidad de listar blogs que sean diversos ya sea a nuestra cultura, ideologia, pocision, etc

And the day has arrived!, for the 4th year in a row the Blog Day is celebrated. This celebration consists in promoting blogs that we like, but giving a preference to those ones that are different from their own culture, point of view, situation, etc.

Para seguir con la linea de la ideologia de diversidad de idioma de este blog, en la lista de blogs recomendados podran encontrar ya sea blogs en ingles, español o frances... espero que sean de su agrado!

• Everyday Living: este blog esta en idioma ingles y es escrito por un padre de familia que se queda en casa (como ama de casa) y las peripecias que vive para tratar de mantenerse sano, en este blog se trata con un buen humor el dificil problema de mantenerse en forma cuando se tienen unos kilos de mas y unas enfermedades acechando.

  This blog, in english language, is about a stay at home father trying to remain sane, all the stories around staying healthy but always with a good sense of humor.

• Pasión Viajera: blog en español que habla de viajes, literatura de viajes, viajeros y viajeras de todos los tiempos. De la escritora Ana Briongos el cual me encanta por que ella se enfoca en los viajes y la cultura de medio oriente. Una zona desconocida para mi pero apasionante!. Tambien viene el link a su pagina web y ahi recibe muchas cartas de viajeros que le agradecen sus consejos a la hora de ir a Iran y paises vecinos, esto viene a destruir el mito que muchos tenemos de que si vamos a visitar alguno de esos paises estamos en peligro mortal. (obvio no hay que ir a un pais en guerra eso se obvio ahi si hay real peligro)... en fin este blog me encanto!

  Spanish language blog that speaks about travels, literature, travelers and many things. From the writter Ana Briongos, I love this blog because she focus on middle orient culture. An unknown zone for me but anyway atractive!. Also there is a link to her webpage and there she receives a lot of letters from travelers that thank her for the advices given, this destroy the myth we have about travelling to that zone of the world (many of us think that there we can die, but is not true, of course if we go to a zone war we will be in real danger)... nice!!.

• Suportaire Arlaten: es un blog en idioma frances, el cual esta hecho por un club presidido por un niño de 12 años el cual tiene la ilusion de apoyar a el equipo de futbol de si ciudad, Arles. Entonces reune a varias personas mas mayores que el y se unen para crear el club de fans llamado Suportaire Arlaten. Y aqui ustedes podran ver como evoluciona este club y el seguimiento que le dan a su equipo... todo para verlo algun dia ganar....

  This blog in french language, is about a soccer fan club, made by a 12 year old kid, who had the ilusion to make a fan club for the soccer team of his city, Arles. Here you can see how the club is evolving and how they support their team hoping they win!.

• Chica & Pumuckl: como fan de los gatos no podia faltar un blog sobre ellos, en este blog se ven las peripecias de dos adorables gatitas, llamadas Chica y Pumuckl, ellas son egipcias y hace poco se mudaron a Alemania. En el blog se pueden ver un sin fin de fotos de estas dos tigresas gueras y estan preciosas, este blog esta en ingles.

  As a cat fan I couldnt not put a cat blog, this blog is about the life of two adorable kitties named Chica and Pumuckl, they are egiptians but they moved recently to Germany. In this blog you can find a lot of pictures of them and they are so cute and adorable. This blog is in english.

• El Diario Colectivo: no podia faltar algo de mi ciudad, Mexicali, dado que la mayoria de mis lectores no son de ahi, este blog les permitira conocer a los habitantes blogueros de mi ciudad, como piensan, que hacen, etc. Hay de todo, peripecias divertidas, fotos, eventos. Blog en idioma españñl.

  I couldn't not put something about my city, viewing that the majority of my readers are not from my city, Mexicali. With this blog you can know how they inhabitants of my city think, feel, what they do, etc. You will see many things there, enjoy.

De vuelta en Arles, la ciudad de Van Gogh, nos fuimos Vincent y yo a dar un paseo a pie por el centro y tome foto a cosas que antes no habia fotografiado...

I was back in Arles, Van Gogh's city, and Vincent and I went to walk in downtown and I took pictures to things that I hadn't taken before...

El puente de los leones / The lions bridge

Aqui va la historia de este puente: resulta que este puente unia a la ciudad con la parte llamada Trinquetaille (que es Arles tambien pero es otro vecindario) y durante la guerra (me parece la II guerra mundial) fue derrumbado y nunca lo reconstruyeron, ahora solo quedan estos leones. Se dice que esta area es un punto de encuentro de la comunidad gay en Arles, pero tambien es un punto bastante turistico, vean que leones tan bonitos!!

Here it is the story if this bridge: this bridge was joining the city with the Trinquetaille neighborhood but during WW II was destroyed and never reconstructed, now you can only see the lions. Is said this area is a meeting point for the gay community in Arles, but is also a very touristic point, just see the lions how beauty they are!!

Ahora si, por fin viene la tan prometida historia del gallito de Portugal, el cual me hacia gritar GALLITOOOOOOO cada vez que pasaba por alguna vitrina de una tienda de souvenirs en Portugal, y es que este gallo te lo encuentras por todas partes!!... es un simbolo nacional!

And now finally, I come to tell all you guys the story of the Portugal's rooster, the one that made me scream GALLITOOOO (rooster in spanish) each time I was in front of a souvenir store and this is because this rooster is everywhere!!... is a national symbol!

ES / SP: Se cuenta que en un dia un peregrino salia de Barcelos camino a Santiago de Compostela. Fue acusado de un crimen, aunque era inocente. Fue juzgado y condenado a la horca jurando inocencia. El dia de su ejecucion el Juez se disponia a comer un gallo asado en presencia del condenado. Este, desesperado, clamo justicia exclamando: "Si soy inocente, el gallo se levantara y cantara tres veces". Todos se rieron de esta afirmacion, Cuando llego la hora del ahorcamiento, el gallo se levanto y canto. El juez lo solto de inmediato. Hoy, el gallo de Barcelos es conocido en todo el mundo y esta leyenda perpetua.

IN / EN: One day a pilgrim was going out of Barcelos in direction of Santiago de Compostela. It was accused of a crime, but he was innocent. He was judged and condemned to be hanged even though he was saying he was innocent. The day of his execution the judge was going to eat a rooster in front of the condemned. He, desperately, asked justice saying: "If I'm innocent, this rooster will wake up and sing three times". Everybody laugh of him. When the time of the execution arrived, the rooster woke up and sang. The judge release him immediately. Today, the Barcelos rooster is known in all the world and this legend also.

Bueno tengo que admitir que eso de "conocido en todo el mundo" no es verdad... por que aqui en Mexico nadie sabia nada de este gallito... pero es una linda leyenda de todos modos!.... y este gallito se lo encuentran por todos lados en Portugal....

Well I must admit that the part of "known in all the world"... is not true... cause here in Mexico nobody knew about this rooster... but is a nice legend anyway!... and the rooster can be found anywhere in Portugal....

El GALLITOOOOOOOO / The ROOSTEEEEEEEEER....

El viaje estaba a punto de terminar... llegamos de nuestro recorrido por Fatima y Coimbra a Porto, donde pasariamos la ultima noche ya que en la mañana teniamos que tomar el avion que a mi me llevaria a Marsella y a mi amiga la llevaria a Milano si ahi ya nos separariamos... pero ni modo el viaje estuvo muy suave y me dio mucho gusto volverla a ver!

The travel was about to end... we arrive to Porto after the Fatima-Coimbra journey, we were going to spend the last night in Porto cause in the morning we had to take our planes... my friend was going to go to Italy and me to France... so we were going to take different flghts ... snif...

Y llegamos a Coimbra, que se encontraba entre Fatima y Porto asi que era muy conveniente visitarla, una ciudad linda en donde se encuentra una de las universidades mas viejas de Portugal. En esta ciudad (al menos en el centro) todo esta bien empinado, asi que nos toco dar una buena caminada... para muestra vean esta calle: (pero tambien se puede apreciar lo lindo que es el lugar)

And we arrive to Coimbra, it was in the middle way between Fatima and Porto so it was very convenient to visit it, is a charming city which has the one of the oldest universities in Portugal. In this city (at least in downtown) every thing is in a climb high way, so we made exercises... you can see what I'm talking about in the picture of this street: (but you can also appreciate how beauty is the place)
