Finalmente el vuelo se paso sin problemas, llegamos a Porto y tomamos el metro en la estacion del aeropuerto... fotos dedicadas para mi amigo el metro-fan (ya sabe quien es)

Finally the flight was OK, we arrived to Porto and we took the metro in the airport station... pictures of the metro dedicated for my friend the "Subway-fan" (he knows who)

Muy bien los vagones, limpios, modernos, wow / Everything super!

Despues, llegamos a la zona centro, y nos dirigimos a buscar nuestro hostel, pero debo decir que desde que ibamos en el metro pude empezar a admirar la belleza de Portugal (y la gran diferencia con el resto de Europa)... que cosa tan bella... los colores de las casas, y el detalle de que los portugueses son muy amantes de utilizar mosaicos, y ese estilo barroco que tanto me gusta... wow...

We arrived to downtown and we went to search our hostel, but I must say that being in the metro I started to admire the beauty of Portugal (and the big difference with the rest of Europe)... what a beauty thing... the colors of the houses, and portugueses love to use mosaics, and the barroc style that I love!... wow...

Y empezamos a andar por el centro... y empiezan las fotos!!

And we started to walk in downtown... and the pictures started!!

Y aqui una muestra de lo que les digo del uso de mosaicos, que cosa tan bella, nunca habia visto una iglesia asi... y esto se repite por todo Portugal / And here a proof of what I say about mosaic usage, what a beautiful thing, I had never seen such thing before... and this is in all Portugal
Este gallo tiene una razon de ser, y lo van a ver por todo Portugal, este gallo es muy representativo para el pais, en un post mas adelante les contare la historia del gallo :), pero les tengo que contar que me encanto este gallito... y cada vez que lo veia en los aparadores gritaba GALLITOOOOOOOO haha y mi amiga Eliane nadamas se reia :-D / This rooster has a reason of being here, you will see it in all Portugal, this rooster is very representative for the country, in a post lately I'll explain the story behind :), but I must say that I love this rooster and every time I was seeing it I was yelling GALLITOOOOOOO hahah

Tengo que decir, que me encantaba ver los letreros en portugues... es como que casi se le entiende pero sabes que no es español... y si no entendia nada de plano pues Eliane me explicaba :D

I must say, that I was loving to see the things in portuguese... is like we almost understand but we know is not spanish... and if I was not understanding at all well my friend Eliane was explaining me :D

Esta imagen es de la estacion del tren, que esta recomendada en la guia de turismo para irla a ver por que esta super bonita / This is the train station, and is recomended by the tourism guide cause is very beautiful (with mosaics)

Y nos fuimos a buscar el edificio del ayuntamiento, y llegamos a una gran plaza donde habia un McDo (no podia faltar)... y oh gran sorpresa me lleve... que las cabinas telefonicas y los buzones de correo son del estilo ingles... veanlo con sus propios ojos!!!

And we went to search the town hall building, and we arrive to a very big plaza where there was a McDo (never missing)... oh and big surprise... the telephone cabins and the mailboxes are english style... see with your own eyes!!!

Estaba en Inglaterra o en Portugal... wow...

Y encontramos el edificio del ayuntamiento... pero que belleza barroca!!

And we found the town hall building...

Barroco, barroco, barroco... lindo, lindo, lindo

Y despues de tomar varias fotos, nos fuimos a sentar a una de las cafeterias, pedi un cafe (los portugueses tienen su metodo de nombrar los distintos modos de servir el cafe, como lo he visto en Italia, Francia, etc)... pero ohhhh que agradable sorporesa... en Portugal pedir un cafe con leche no da como resultado que te vean con cara de "estas loca"... y me tome un cafe con leche super rico... y a sugerencia de Eliane compramos unos Pasteles de Belem, que son la especialidad de Portugal, ay ay ay que cosa tan rica...

And after taking many pictures, we went to drink a coffee, I asked a coffe and I was so glad that portuguese didnt put a face of "are you crazy" when I asked a coffee with milk... the coffee was super... and we ask also Belem cakes, a specialty of Portugal. Yummmi!

Este letrero me dio mucha risa cuando lo vi, ya despues Eli me explico que una tienda de PEDANTES habla de cosas para los pies... pero cuando le explique lo que significaba en español... fue chistoso / This anouncement was funny, Eli explained me what PEDANTES mean (a store of things for foot) but when I explained what it means in spanish... it was funny...

Despues fuimos a buscar un restaurante para cenar, ya hacia hambre... batallamos para encontrar uno , por que muchos estaban cerrados por que aun no eran las 7 y luego en uno... el señor se porto medio sangron (por que no eramos europeas) y eso que todavia no entrabamos.. ha ha ha perdio dos clientas... entonces terminamos en una Charrasqueira (ay que alguien me corrija si lo escribi bien)... donde Eli pidio un bacalao (la especialidad de Portugal) y yo pedi unos frijolitos con arroz y unas salchicas... pero que cosa en Portugal sirven unas porciones bien servidas!!!!... y muy rico todo... con muchas papas... carne, etc... en Portugal cualquiera engorda hehehe

We went to search a place to dine cause we were hungry, but we had problems to find a place cause it was not 7 pm, and when we found one the mister was not very nice with us cause we were not europeans... and we didnt enter... poor he lost 2 clients... so we finish eating in a Charrasqueira (pleacse someone correct my spelling)... where Eli asked a bacalao (portugal specialty) and I asked beans with rice and saussages... everything very good...

Ok, hasta este primer dia la impresion en general que me quedo de los portugueses se que son gente muy calida y cordial, y siempre dispuestos a ayudar... muy amable la gente. Al siguiente dia el plan era ir a visitar el santuario de Fatima... asi que continuara...

Ok, until the first day the impression in general of portuguese people is they are very friendly and warm and always able to help... nice people. The next day the plan was to go to visit the Fatima sanctuary... so to be continued...
