Despues de visitar La Rochelle, nos fuimos a visitar la region de Bretaña que es el piquito de la parte izquierda-superior del hexagono frances. Aqui se encuentran muchas cosas que nos hacen pensar en Inglaterra y las regiones aledañas... de hecho la primera vez que oi nombrar esta region tuve problemas para entender que no estaban hablando de la Gran Bretaña que es asi como conocemos al Reino Unido... bueno les sigo contando, esta region se encuentra de cara al Oceano Atlantico y no tiene muchas playas mas bien son costas con mucha roca... pero tiene paisajes muy bonitos vean las fotos.

After visit La Rochelle, we went to visit the region Britany which is the part upper-left of the french hexagone. Here you can find many things that make you think about United Kingdom.... in fact the first time I hear the name of this region I had problems to understand that is not about UK but a region in France... well I continue, this region is facing the Atlantic Ocean and its coast are more with rocks than with sand... but the landscapes are so beautiful, you will see the pictures.

Nuestra siguiente parada es la ciudad de La Rochelle, la cual se encuentra en la costa del lado del Oceano Atlantico, de esta ciudad zarparon los barcos que llegarian a colonizar Quebec hace mas de 400 años.

Our next stop is the city of La Rochelle, this city is located in the coast of the side of the Atlantic Ocean, from this city were shipped the boats who arrived to colonize Quebec morethan 400 years ago.

En el camino de regreso de Burdeos, veo los clasicos carteles indicando las ciudades proximas y entre ellas veo un nombre que me llamo la atencion mas del normal: CADILLAC ! ... y dije a Vicente "Que sucede ??? Cadillac es un carro, y hay una ciudad que le pusieron como el carro ay estos franceses copiones !" a lo que me responde "Pues no, resulta que el carro se llama asi por la ciudad (que en realidad es un minipueblito ni a ciudad llega)" y yo dije "OH ! Entonces tenemos que pasar a visitar !!" y asi fue... una visita rapida a la ciudad que dio nombre al famoso Cadillac.

In the way back from Bordeaux, I saw the classical things in the road indication the next cities and between names of cities I didn't care I saw the name CADILLAC !... and I told to Vincent "Whats the matter ??? Cadillac is a car, and there is a city with this name uy this french are copycats !" and he answered "Well no, the car was named because of the city (that is not a city in fact is a little town)" and I said "OH! Then We MUST visit it" and we went... a quick very quick visit to the city who gave the name to the famous Cadillac.

Antes de llegar a Toulouse hicimos un alto en un pueblito llamado Villefranche de Lauragais... que habia ahi a visitar??? realmente no mucho, nuestro objetivo era llegar al llamado Hotel de France donde tenian un restaurantito que servia uno de los platos tipicos de la zona... llamado Cassoulet (que ya lo habiamos comido en Carcassonne), aqui rompen las reglas de la comida francesa y todo se sirve a LO GRANDE y por un precio pequeño. (Yeah!)

Before arriving to Toulouse we made a stop in a little town called Villefranche de Lauragais... what was there to see??? not much really, but our goai was to arrive to a place calle Hotel de France where there was a little restaurant that was serving one of the typical dishes of the zone... the Cassoulet (we had already eaten that in Carcasonne), here they break the french food rules and all is served VERY BIG and for a small price. (Yeah!)

Ahora regresamos a los relatos de los viajes por Francia... en este post veremos la visita al Molino de Daudet, el cual esta en un poblado llamado Fontvieille, muy cerca de Arles. Este molino es famoso por varias razones, la principal es que se parece mucho al molino que Daudet describe en una de sus famosas novelas (de la cual no recuerdo el nombre pero solo se que la protagonista es una cabra), la otra razon que lo hace famoso es que esta muy bien conservado. Muchos turistas se aproximan a visitarlo todos los dias, el dia que fuimos nosotros no fue la excepcion, asi que fue dificil tomarle fotos...

Now we come back with the stories about the travels in France... in this post we will talk about Daudet's mill, it is located in a town called Fontvieille, very close to Arles. This mill is famous for many reasons, the main one is because is very similar to the mill Daudet described in one of his famous novels (I don't remember the name I just remember the star was a goat), the other reason is because it's very well conserved. Many tourist go everyday, the day we went to see it was not the exception, so it was hard to take pictures...

Despues de tomar algunas fotos al Molino nos fuimos a tomar fotos de la vista y a ver los demas molinos de alrededor que si estaban en malas condiciones... aqui van algunas fotos:

Y seguimos caminando hasta llegar al "Castillo de Montauban", en el cual se desarrolla la novela de Daudet (si esta donde la cabra es protagonista)

And we kept walking until we arrived to "Montauban's castle" where the Daudet novel takes part (yeah this one of the goat)

Si, casi me engaña, pero camine un poco mas y vi que al fondo es una casa comun y mas que corriente, o sea solo la fachada es linda... hehehe que chistoso

Yeah, I almost got cheated but I walked a little bit more and I saw that in the end was a common house, just the front is castle style... is funny hehe

De vuelta en Arles, la ciudad de Van Gogh, nos fuimos Vincent y yo a dar un paseo a pie por el centro y tome foto a cosas que antes no habia fotografiado...

I was back in Arles, Van Gogh's city, and Vincent and I went to walk in downtown and I took pictures to things that I hadn't taken before...

El puente de los leones / The lions bridge

Aqui va la historia de este puente: resulta que este puente unia a la ciudad con la parte llamada Trinquetaille (que es Arles tambien pero es otro vecindario) y durante la guerra (me parece la II guerra mundial) fue derrumbado y nunca lo reconstruyeron, ahora solo quedan estos leones. Se dice que esta area es un punto de encuentro de la comunidad gay en Arles, pero tambien es un punto bastante turistico, vean que leones tan bonitos!!

Here it is the story if this bridge: this bridge was joining the city with the Trinquetaille neighborhood but during WW II was destroyed and never reconstructed, now you can only see the lions. Is said this area is a meeting point for the gay community in Arles, but is also a very touristic point, just see the lions how beauty they are!!
