We found Merlin’s tomb

Following the indications on the map that said that the tomb was located, we managed to find it.

Merlin’s tomb, or what is said to be the tomb, in the past was much larger. Originally 10.50 meters long and 1.60 meters wide, it was destroyed at the end of the 18th century by whoever owned the land at the time.

The man was looking for a mystical treasure. Who knows if he found something.

Once we found the two large stones that make up the tomb, we could see that they still carry flowers. We could also see that many people leave folded papers there, what would be written there? Who knows, maybe wishes or spells.

What about the fountain of youth?

After taking photos, we continued on our way to find the fountain of youth.

We found it and it left me speechless. It is on the list of the top 10 cloudiest waters I have seen, at least it did not smell bad. We also saw an area where there were stones arranged in a way that made circular and other figures. Surely, some magician apprentices will do rites or something, is what we wanted to assume.

Did I drink water from the fountain?

Well, no. I would like to believe the legend, but the water didn’t look good, so I preferred to stay with the doubt. Would you have dared to drink?

In conclusion, the Forest of Brocéliande is a magical place where the legends of Merlin and Arthur still live on.

Exploring this enchanted woodland, you’ll be transported to a world of myth and magic, where the natural world and the supernatural are intertwined. And if you’re lucky, you might even uncover the secrets of Merlin’s tomb, and glimpse the final resting place of the greatest wizard of them all.
