During our stay at the Hotel Negresco in Nice, we had the opportunity to visit the “La Rotonde” restaurant for breakfast, and we want to give you our review. In this place, breakfast is taken by hotel guests, this is sometimes included in the price of the room, as was our case. It is also a place where you can have coffee or tea in the afternoon and also works as a restaurant – brasserie where you can have a full lunch or dinner.
Please note that the decoration of this restaurant has changed as it has been renovated.

The menu
For breakfast there is no proper menu since it is a buffet breakfast. That, yes, it is quite assorted. Both those who like a salty or sweet breakfast will be delighted with the wide variety of cereals, breads, sausages, cheeses, fruit juices, scrambled eggs, bacon, among other things that are available.

The food and service
The food was delicious and the quality of several of the products was obvious. Being a buffet we take the opportunity to fill our bellies well, so this buffet can be used as a “brunch” type which allows us to be quite satisfied during the day.
The price: if breakfast is not included in the price of the room, its cost is 30 euros per person.
The decoration
There are some tables outside. But honestly, those are not the main attraction. At least for me.
Rather, the attraction of the place is the interior decoration, with the carousel theme, which distinguishes the place. Everywhere we see the cute carousel horses of the 18th century.
The pink-padded seats and blue-painted walls made it really feel like I was in the game (but without the lapse).

Would we recommend this place?
Yes, because although the buffet can be somewhat expensive, it is compensated by the quality of the food La Rotonde offers. In addition to the fact that the atmosphere of the place is very cheerful despite being in a high-end place where something more serious could be expected (which in fact they do have it in the restaurant next door, which we have not tried).
