During our time in Dubai, we stayed at the Leva Hotel, a hotel located in the Downtown area. Did you convince us?, here we tell you.
During our stay in Dubai, we base ourselves in the area called Downtown. This allowed us to get around with relative ease, using the subway. The place we stayed in during the 7 days we spent in the city, was the Leva Hotel in Dubai, did it meet our expectations? Here we tell you our opinions.

Where is Leva hotel located in Dubai?
As I mentioned above, the location is excellent, a 10-minute walk from the Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall metro stop. From there, we can take the red metro line to go east or west of the city. And, as the metro stop says, the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa are accessible on foot, once we reach the metro stop the way is totally chilled.

The reception and the staff
Arriving at the hotel, we see the reception, with a cheerful decoration. We arrived very late at night and had no problem receiving our room, the person in charge was very friendly. In fact, during our stay we were always reminded that we could ask for what we needed at the reception and so did we, we always got a friendly response.

The room
It is quite spacious, with sober decoration, with some colors that stood out. It has air conditioning (which is really necessary), television, desk and the bed is very comfortable. Everything spotless, no complaints at that point.

The kitchen
The rooms in this hotel, which was the other reason we chose it, have a mini kitchen. There were two hobs, a toaster, microwave, and a kettle to boil water. As for kitchen utensils, there were only a little cutlery and two plates, when we realized this we asked for what we needed to cook (pots, strainer for pasta, which we see in other accommodations of this style) and they provided us with almost everything, except the strainer of paste.
Something they didn’t have either was the soap to wash the dishes (and the sponge). We had to buy one, normally in the accommodations with a kitchen where we have stayed, the dish soap is included, the same thing that happens with the soap in the bathroom.
What they did provide us with were two bottles of water per day.
Regarding the subject of the kitchen, another thing that must be considered is that, at least in our room, we did not have a table to eat properly. In other accommodations of this type, they put a table, even if it’s small, but here there wasn’t. At least not in our room category.

Room with or without a view?
When I made the reservation for the Leva Hotel for our trip to Dubai, I took one of the “Burj Khalifa view” rooms. But I have to say that I was disappointed because, although it was noticeable, the windows were too dusty from the desert sand, and they still hadn’t cleaned them in fact, they started to do it when we were almost leaving. So, I don’t know if it’s worth paying the extra price for “view” rooms.

The other rooms have a view towards the interior of the shopping center in which the hotel is located. The patio, as you can see, has some games for children that were closed due to the pandemic. This is to say that for now that courtyard was quiet, but I don’t know if it would be the same in “normal” time.

The bathroom
The bathroom was fine, it had a shower, bathtub and sink and space was enough to take out our things. As a point to improve, the shower that was next to the toilet, sometimes released a little water, but nothing serious.

The price
The price was approximately 68 euros per night. Breakfast was NOT included in the rate. A fairly affordable price considering the area where it was located, the hotels in this area are more expensive, and if we wanted them to have a kitchen, even more.

The installations
On the top floor, there is a spa, a bar, underground parking and a swimming pool. We did use the latter. It is small, but since there were very few people, it was not a problem.
In addition, the hotel has washing machines on each floor and a gym on the 3rd floor.

Breakfast
Breakfast was not included in our rate, but the first day we decided to try it, you pay right there in the restaurant. It consists of a fairly assorted buffet, both sweet and salty.

Where to buy food?
If you don’t want to go too far, just behind the hotel we can find a mini supermarket Géant Casino, that place got us out of trouble several times during our stay, although it must be said that the food options were somewhat limited.

Final opinions about Leva Hotel
Apart from the detail in the bathroom, the only real point to improve would be in the kitchen: more utensils and products for washing dishes need to be made available. The idea of having a kitchen is that we can cook something, albeit simple, but not just reheat food. In addition to making available, something that allows two people to eat together.
Apart from that, we felt very comfortable and happy with our stay, the staff were always very friendly. The location, excellent. The Leva Hotel did not disappoint, well, a little on the subject of the view, but we understand that the desert sands are beyond your control. Here we summarize our opinions about the hotel.
